This project marked our second collaboration with Rush Athletics, following the successful completion of their previous headquarters. With the brand requiring a larger space, the new Rush Athletics Headquarters is a highly ambitious project, transforming a warehouse in Croydon into a futuristic brand centre.
The design proposes a multi-functional layout, with a large retail and product distribution zone on the ground floor and a full brand space on the first floor. The upper level includes a sports training area, offices, a podcast suite, and an events lounge, creating a dynamic and versatile space for the brand’s operations.
The client envisioned a futuristic aesthetic—an experience that feels as though visitors are being transported to outer space, rather than stepping into a warehouse.
On the ground floor, a high-tech retail area greets customers, featuring ‘The Pod,’ a semi-enclosed cage designed for one-to-one skipping tutorials.
Upstairs, zones are clearly delineated using colour and materials. The training zone, meeting room, and podcast suite are defined by dark sprung flooring, walls, and ceilings, creating a focused and immersive environment. In contrast, circulation zones, offices, lounges, and bars feature white walls and flooring with mirrored surfaces and coloured lighting, providing a bright and futuristic ambiance.
The brand centre’s colour palette primarily consists of a black and white backdrop, designed to highlight the vibrant skipping ropes displayed throughout the space. Coloured LED lighting accents each zone, complementing the skipping rope colours and reinforcing the brand identity.
