We cannot rate Abigail highly enough! She has been utterly brilliant from start to finish on our kitchen extension build. Her involvement made the whole process as stress-free as any build can be. Abigail really cares about client preferences and is accommodating in her approach to her designs. At each stage, Abigail helped us think through the various options but left the final decision up to us, explaining pros and cons of different ideas, both in terms of the look/design but also practicalities. We were really impressed with her organisational skills and wonderful attention to detail, as well as her responsive communication and reliability. We trusted her entirely throughout and she helped us understand each stage (planning permission, party wall etc) and advocated for us if needed. We had never worked with an architect before but if we were to undertake any other works in future there is no one I would go to other than Abigail. We could quickly see that we could trust her completely with every step of this process. Without her, it is clear that the experience would have been a lot more stressful. People kept commenting how relaxed we were for a family living in a building site! Abigail and the builders really did what they could to keep things moving. The final result is that our kitchen is absolutely beautiful, we love the space and feel at home in it already. It is quite unlike the usual kitchen extensions that are fashionable at the moment, people notice the small details and it is clear an architect who loves her job was involved. Simply brilliant! In April 2022 we re-started a back extension project which we had abandoned because of Covid lockdown. We appointed a building company who had done a fabulous job for our neighbours. We had already attained planning permission prior to lockdown but needed an architect to create our building regulations drawings before we could commence work. Our building company recommended Abigail and Cherry Architects as she had acted for another client of theirs recently. Abigail turned around the building regulation plans in a matter of days but in doing so she discovered a major problem with our original architect’s design for the roof and drainage. She redesigned it maintaining the key elements of our design making it viable without the need to re-apply for planning. During the build Abigail made suggestions that greatly improved our original design and was able to give us some invaluable advice on our interior design. As with any projects there were a couple of occasions where we thought there might be a problem with the build. Abigail made herself almost immediately available to come and conduct a site visit to inspect the work and to allay our concerns. Abigail provides a professional first-class personalised service. She is highly responsive and clearly very talented. She literally made us feel like we were her only clients which is remarkable given how busy her practice is. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Abigail to anyone about to embark on a project and to say that she has earned our admiration and respect.

My wife and I used Abigail as our architect for our house renovation project in 2025. It was a 6 month job, and we made a lot of changes to the house. We tried to be good clients, but I am sure we were annoying! We made changes constantly, and went back and forwards on decisions a lot, but Abigail dealt with it very well. Her ideas were great. She visited the site a good amount. Her communication was great. Just a pleasure to work with. Fantastic Architects! We used Cherry Architects for our kitchen extension- We thought we knew what we wanted but they showed us much better ways to do add space and added features that have made the kitchen work much better than we could have ever hoped for. Being able to see different designs in virtual reality was also super helpful and very exciting too! We are very happy with how the kitchen has turned out and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

About 18 months again we decided to embark on a complete transformation on our 1930’s terrace property in South London. I knew I needed a person that just “got me” and Abigail from Cherry Architects was no exception. On arrival to our property Abigail worked with me to take our very drab house back to a modern art deco fab! She listened and was enthusiastic and came back to us with 3 possible layouts to give better flow and more storage, she even helped me create my utility room of dreams which I thought would be near on impossible due to our property being long and narrow. I was a complete “reno virgin” and Abigail just gave me the confidence to be brave and go for it. She was always available to discuss ideas and give suggestions , was in no way pushy but got our brief and really worked together with me to brain storm ideas to make my vision a reality.
